Bruce Lowry

Bruce Lowry is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in both the corporate and legal sectors. Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Tax Counsel, and Chief Tax Officer at Western Alliance Bancorporation since May 2011, Bruce is responsible for comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting. Notably, Bruce designed strategies that significantly reduced the effective tax rate from 37% to 19%. Previous roles include Vice President at Getty Images overseeing global tax operations, Vice President at Vulcan Inc leading tax matters for various entities associated with Paul Allen, Executive Vice President of Tax at MBNA, and Senior Vice President at Washington Mutual. Bruce also has a foundation in international tax consulting as an International Tax Partner at both Deloitte and Thompson Hine LLP. Bruce holds a Doctor of Law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and furthered education at IMD in 2001.
