Michael Steele has over 30 years of work experience in various technology leadership roles. Michael started their career in the United States Air Force, serving for 12 years and gaining expertise in cryptographic systems and data system integration. After leaving the military, they joined Strong Capital Management as the Director of Technology & Operations, where they significantly reduced operating costs while improving customer service and systems reliability. Michael then worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Manager in Financial Services Technology before joining State Street as a Senior Vice President and CTO. At State Street, they refined the company's technical vision, deployed new technologies, and transformed the software development life cycle. Following their tenure at State Street, Michael joined PIMCO as an Executive Vice President, where they spearheaded the expansion of data centers and implemented a cloud strategy to reduce server delivery time. Michael also served as a Senior Vice President at PIMCO, focusing on modernizing technology support and infrastructure across global offices. Currently, Michael is the Global Leader of Technology Infrastructure & Operations at Western Asset Management.
