Nasim Vakili

Nasim Vakili has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Nasim started their career at Microsoft as a Developer in 2007 and worked there until 2009. Following that, they joined Nextor as a Research Engineer from 2009 to 2011. Nasim then moved on to PowerSeraya Ltd, where they worked as a Quantitative Research Consultant from 2011 to 2016. After that, they joined Constellation as a Quantitative Risk Manager and worked there for four years until 2020. Currently, they are working at Western Asset Management as a Quantitative Analyst/Modeler.

Nasim Vakili holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Operations Research/Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Nasim Vakili has obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland. In terms of additional certifications, Nasim Vakili has completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in August 2019, the Machine Learning: Implementation in Business certification from MIT Sloan School of Management in June 2019, and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification from the CFA Institute in 2015.
