Samille Mitchell

Samille Mitchell is an experienced videographer and journalist with a diverse background in media production and reporting. Currently serving as a videographer at the Western Australian Department of Parks and Wildlife since April 2022, Samille produces video packages that showcase the region's natural beauty and conservation efforts. As a freelancer since 2004, Samille specializes in human interest, travel, and environmental feature writing and videography, alongside various public relations tasks. Previous roles include features reporter at ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt, where Samille crafted engaging human interest stories for multiple platforms, and founder of Inspired Magazine, which aims to highlight inspiring life stories. With earlier experience as a features writer and editor for Landscope magazine and as chief of staff at the Geraldton Guardian, Samille has built a robust career in journalism since earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Deakin University.
