Jonathan Wade Ph.D.

Jonathan Wade MBA PhD is an experienced professional in academic engagement and information technology governance, currently serving at Western Carolina University since June 2015. With a focus on IT leadership and project management, Jonathan has held multiple roles, including Senior Educational Technologist and Acting Director of Coulter Faculty Commons, where responsibilities included managing the Learning Management System (Blackboard) and enhancing faculty development. Previous positions at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching included directing digital learning initiatives and serving as Chief Academic Officer. Jonathan’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Humanities, an MBA, and several other advanced certifications, complemented by teaching roles at institutions such as Abilene Christian University and Faulkner University.
