Randy Collins currently serves as the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology at Western Carolina University, a position held since August 2022. With extensive experience at Clemson University since 1989, Randy has held various roles including Professor Emeritus, Executive Director of Academic Initiatives, Associate Vice President for the Restoration Institute, and Associate Dean of the College of Engineering and Science. Expert in Electrical Power Systems and Electrical Power Quality, Randy's research and teaching encompass a wide range of topics including Electric Power, Power Electronics, and Transformers. Randy also participated as an ACE Fellow at Virginia Tech in 2012-2013. Educationally, Randy earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
