Tom Ruth

Thomas Ruth, PE, currently serves as the General Manager of Western Cooperative Electric Association since May 2018, overseeing the electric utility's operations across west-central Kansas and serving on the Board of Directors for Sunflower Electric Power Corporation. Ruth has extensive experience in the energy sector, including a previous role as Vice President of Distribution Services at South Central Indiana REMC and positions at PNM Resources where responsibilities included directing corporate safety and managing distribution engineering and operations. Additionally, Ruth held several managerial roles at Black Hills Energy, contributing to operational efficiency and budget management throughout a career that began following the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management & Electrical Power from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
