Elizabeth Abernethy

Elizabeth Abernethy, CPA, currently serves as EVP of Finance & Learning and Accounting Controller at Western CPE since December 2019. Since May 2020, Elizabeth has also been the Owner of EZ Accounting Dept Inc., providing consulting and business support to local small businesses. Previous entrepreneurial ventures include ownership of Big Boys Toys Rentals from May 2021 to April 2024 and the establishment of EZ Accountancy Corp from July 2015 to October 2018. Elizabeth's prior experience includes roles such as Senior Accountant at Kirsch Kohn & Bridge LLP, Controller at Superior Moulding, Inc. and Merchants Bancard Network, and Assistant Controller at Novacap, Inc., covering diverse responsibilities including financial reporting, cash flow management, and team supervision. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Augusta State University between 1988 and 1991.
