Brian Jones is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Assistant General Counsel, Patent Strategy and Licensing at Western Digital, where Brian has contributed to the company's growth from $5.5 billion to over $20 billion in annual revenue. With a robust background in intellectual property rights, Brian has led numerous high-stakes projects, including significant patent licensing negotiations and strategic M&A initiatives. Prior to joining Western Digital in 2007, Brian was an associate at Irell & Manella, where Brian gained extensive patent litigation experience and played a key role in high-profile cases, achieving multi-million dollar settlements for clients. Brian holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a JD focused on Intellectual Property Law from the University of California, Berkeley.
