Sasha Mosendz

Sasha Mosendz is an experienced technologist and engineer specializing in material deposition and device fabrication, with a career spanning over 15 years. Currently serving as a Technologist at Western Digital since August 2013, Sasha has significantly reduced experiment planning time and successfully managed resources to meet aggressive project goals. Previously, as a Senior Principal Engineer, contributions included establishing groundbreaking material deposition processes for memory technologies and optimizing laboratory operations to achieve substantial cost savings. Prior experience at HGST involved leading media stack development and implementing innovative deposition techniques within short timelines. Sasha's career began with a postdoctoral role at Argonne National Laboratory, following a PhD in Physics with a focus on magnetism from Simon Fraser University. Further academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
