Karina Velez

Karina Velez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Karina is currently employed as a Technical Business Analyst at Western Growers since April 2023. Prior to this, Karina worked at Centene Corporation for three years from January 2020 to March 2023 as a Data Analyst III, contributing to process optimizations and automation through ETL processes and tools. Before that, they had a long-term tenure at WellCare Health Plans, where they held various roles including Technical Business Analyst, Senior Technical Business Analyst, SR. Configuration Analyst/Configuration Analyst, Sr. Provider Operations Specialist, and Credentialing Specialist. Their responsibilities in these positions included enhancing processes, conducting data analysis, creating staffing models, and coordinating activities. Karina also gained experience in the marketing industry as a Part-Time Promotions Assistant at Beasley Broadcast Group from July 2013 to July 2017, where they utilized social media advertising and provided suggestions for marketing strategies.

Karina Velez began their education in 2001 at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, where they studied accounting and finance until 2002. Karina then transferred to the University of New Haven and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry, which they completed in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Karina has also obtained certifications in various areas. In August 2022, they completed a course on "Songwriting: Writing the Lyrics" from Coursera. Furthermore, in April 2023, they obtained a certification in "Giving Your Elevator Pitch" from LinkedIn.
