Sonia Salas has over 17 years of experience in the food industry. Sonia started their career at Los Altos Food Products LLC. in 2002, where they worked as a Quality Assurance/ Quality Control professional for four years. In 2006, they joined C & F Foods, Inc. as a Corporate Quality Assurance Manager. Sonia then moved on to Western Growers in 2007, where they held various positions including Sr. Loss Control Consultant, Science & Technology Manager, Director of Science and Technology, and currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Food Safety, Science & Technology.
Sonia Salas completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences from EAP Zamorano, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences with a specialization in Food Marketing and Agribusiness Management at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2003 to 2004.
