Karen Hargan

Karen Hargan is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in human resources and organizational development across various organizations. Since May 2021, Karen has served as the Director of HR & OD at the Western Health and Social Care Trust. Prior to this role, Karen held the position of Director of HR, OD and Corporate Communications at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust from September 2019 to May 2021. Additional experience includes roles at the Business Services Organisation as Director of Human Resources and Corporate Services, and Director of Organisation Development and Community Planning at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. Earlier career highlights include serving as Interim Director of HR and OD at Mid and East Antrim District Council and holding the position of Director of Leisure, HR and Cultural Services at Ballymena Borough Council. Karen holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from Ulster University, obtained from 1984 to 1992.
