Angelina Salazar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Angelina began their career as an Instructor and Admissions Counselor at Regis University - ELS Language Centers in 1996. Angelina then worked as an Adult Spanish Conversation Instructor at Hilltop Community Resources before joining the American Farmland Trust as a Regional Outreach and Development Coordinator in 2000. In 2002, Salazar took on the role of Station Manager at Rocky Mountain PBS.

In 2008, Salazar joined Family Health West as the Vice President of Business Development, where they were responsible for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to support the organization through various fundraising activities. Angelina remained in this role until 2016.

Salazar's next role was at Western Healthcare Alliance, where they served as the Vice President of Outreach and Communications. In this position, they created and coordinated marketing, communications, and promotional strategies for 30 programs and services. Angelina also provided facilitation and education for rural healthcare leaders in western Colorado and rural California. In 2018, Salazar was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer position at Western Healthcare Alliance.

In the same year, Salazar also took on the role of Interim Executive Director at the California Critical Access Hospital Network, where they served until 2019.

Additionally, they hold additional certifications in Mediation and Neuro-linguistic Programming, Public Information Officer from FEMA, RBL Trainer from Reality-Based Leadership with Cy Wakeman, and a Type A Secondary Teaching Certificate from the Colorado State Board of Education.
