David Davenport

David Davenport serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker, M.D. School of Medicine since January 2015. Concurrently, David is involved with Borgess Health as a member of the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee, and from April 2011, has held the positions of Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Medical Director of Borgess Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center. Prior experience includes a tenure at Michigan State University as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Professor of Medicine from July 2000 to June 2014. David Davenport's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Liege Faculty of Medicine, an Internal Medicine degree from Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Boston University. Advanced training includes a fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.
