Katy Cason has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Katy started their career at ProEnergy Services in 2015 as a Staffing Coordinator. Katy then joined Western Missouri Medical Center in December 2015 as a Medical Coder and worked in that role until October 2017. From October 2017 to April 2018, Katy served as a Revenue Integrity Coordinator. In April 2018, they were promoted to Manager of Health Information Administration and held that position until January 2020. Currently, they work at Western Missouri Medical Center as the Director of Health Information Management and also serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.

Katy Cason, MLS, RHIA, CPC has pursued higher education in the field of legal studies and health information administration. From 2020 to 2022, they attended Washington University in St. Louis, where they obtained a Master of Legal Studies degree with a focus on Regulatory Compliance. Prior to this, from 2006 to 2018, they attended Stephens College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information/Medical Records Administration/Administrator.
