Ashley Hortman-Cooper

Ashley Hortman-Cooper, M.S., currently serves as the Black Student Union Advisor and Assistant Director of Residence Life at Western Oregon University, where responsibilities include supervising up to 13 resident assistants and overseeing two residential buildings with approximately 350 residents. Previous experience includes roles at the University of Puget Sound, Occidental College, and Azusa Pacific University, where Ashley advised student leaders, managed budgets exceeding $10,000, and developed supportive programming for diverse student populations. Ashley holds a Master's degree in College Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language Interpreting from Western Oregon University.
