Seiji Shiratori

Seiji Shiratori is an experienced professional in international relations and strategic communications, currently serving as the Legislative Coordinator and Strategic Communications Manager at the Oregon Department of Emergency Management since March 2024. Shiratori has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Western Oregon University since March 2021, teaching international relations. Previous roles include Policy Director for the Property Tax Division at the Oregon Department of Revenue from December 2019 to February 2024, and Foreign Policy Advisor for the Naval Amphibious Force and for the Air Force Special Operations Command. Shiratori has extensive experience in diplomatic and policy positions, including leadership roles at U.S. embassies in Erbil and Bulgaria, and as Deputy Chief of Mission in Timor-Leste. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Political Economy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Willamette University.
