Aaron Craven has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Aaron began their career in 2001 as a Lead Instructor at Baltimore Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound. Aaron then worked as an Assistant Director of Orchestras at Oak Ridge Schools from 2003 to 2005, where they conducted and rehearsed orchestras and taught string classes. In 2005, Aaron joined Forsyth Country Day School as a Lead Project Manager, Scrum Master, Advancement Associate, and Director of Orchestras. Aaron was responsible for overseeing special projects, mentoring teams, and delivering instruction to students. Aaron also worked as the Principal Double Bass at Western Piedmont Symphony from 2006 onwards, guiding the Double Bass section and representing the orchestra at public events. In 2015, they joined Lenoir-Rhyne University as an Instructor of Double Bass, providing lessons to instrumental music students. Additionally, Aaron served as the President of North Carolina - American String Teachers Association from 2016 to 2020, implementing organizational changes and developing new initiatives. Throughout their career, Aaron has demonstrated leadership, teaching, and artistic skills in various capacities.

Aaron Craven received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music Education with a focus on Double Bass from Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2003. Aaron later pursued a Master of Music (MM) in Music Performance and Pedagogy with a specialization in Double Bass and Electric Bass Performance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2003 to 2005. Prior to attending college, they completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Indiana Area Senior High School and earned their High School Diploma in 1999. Additionally, Aaron has obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in June 2019. It is also mentioned that they hold a Pennsylvania Teaching License.
