Mark Southern started their career as an Aircraft Engineer in the Royal Navy from 1996 to 2001. Mark then became an Officer in the Royal Marines from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Western Provident Association as the General Manager Sales & Marketing, Private Clients, and later became the Commercial Director. Since 2018, they have worked at WPA Healthcare Practice PLC, initially as the Chief Executive Officer and now Chief Executive.
Mark Southern completed a course in Aligning Strategy and Sales at Harvard Business School in 2013. From 2008 to 2011, they pursued studies in Business & Economics at The Open University. In 2001 and 2002, they attended the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines for Officer Training.
