Mele Makaui

Mele Makaui currently serves as the Senior Director of Sales & Revenue for Hospitality at Western States Lodging since October 2023. Previously, Mele held the position of Area Sales Director at Hilton Hotels & Resorts, overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for multiple hotel brands, and served as General Manager at Embassy Suites from July 2014 to May 2021. Additional experience includes roles as Director of Sales and Marketing at Shula's 347 Grill, General Manager at the same establishment, and Director of Sales at Homewood Suites by Hilton, where Mele was recognized as Hotel of the Quarter in Q4 2012. Earlier in the career, Mele excelled as Director of Sales at Hampton, achieving recognition as Sales Leader of the Year in 2007, and held various operational and sales roles in multiple hotel properties since the late 1990s. Mele's educational background includes studies at Utah Valley University.
