Golo Ahlenstiel

Golo Ahlenstiel's work experience includes serving as the Head of Department Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospital since 2022. Golo was previously the Clinical Network Director Specialty Medicine at Western Sydney Local Health District starting from 2021. From 2017, Ahlenstiel worked as a Clinical Academic Specialist in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Blacktown & Mount Druitt Hospitals. Golo also served as the Chair of Medicine at Blacktown Clinical School, Western Sydney University from 2017. Prior to that, they were a Group Leader in Liver Immunology at The Westmead Institute for Medical Research from 2016. Golo Ahlenstiel completed their high school education at Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium from 1992 to 1995. Golo then pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine at The University of Bonn from 1996 to 2002. Golo Ahlenstiel also obtained various certifications, including Video Capsule Endoscopy in 2016, Clinical trial certifications in 2015, Fellowship Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in 2014, Specialist Registration Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2013, Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy in 2013, General Registration in 2011, and LSR II Flow Cytometer Operator certification in 2005.
