Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown has extensive work experience in the health and justice sectors. Kevin is currently the Director of Allied Health and Priority Communities at Western Sydney Local Health District. Prior to this, they served as the Allied Health Manager at Wesley Mission and held various roles at NSW Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network, including Director Allied Health, A/Service Director Custodial Mental Health, and Manager Allied Health. Kevin also worked at Sydney Local Health District as a Program Manager, Corporate Services Manager, and Deputy Director Corporate Governance. Kevin has further experience as the District Manager of Community Mental Health at Mid North Coast Local Health District and as the Community Sector Manager of Mental Health at Sydney Local Health District. Kevin previously served as a Team Manager at Sydney Local Health District and as a Senior Occupational Therapist at Northern Sydney Local Health District. Kevin also worked as a Subcontractor at Rehabworks NZ and as the Maori Representative at New Zealand Association of Occupational Therap.

Kevin Brown's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Health Science (Occupational Therapy) from Auckland University of Technology, obtained from 2003 to 2006. Kevin later pursued further education at the University of Tasmania, completing a Master's degree in Health Service Management in 2017, a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Redesign in 2021, and currently working towards a Bachelor of Healthcare Redesign, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Kevin has also obtained additional certifications, including Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) from AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) in 2011 and Assessment of Motor and Processing Skills (AMPS) from the Centre for Innovative OT Solutions in 2007.
