Michael Powell

Michael Powell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in intellectual property (IP) commercialisation, management, and business development across various sectors. Currently serving as the Manager for both the Western Sydney Local Health District and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, Michael oversees IP commercialisation initiatives within notable research institutions. Previous roles include positions as a Lead Associate at LongDog & Associates, where expertise in B2B sales and strategic consultancy was applied, as well as management roles in sales and marketing for companies such as Vipac Engineers & Scientists and Ecotech Pty Ltd. Michael's educational background includes a Master of International Business from the University of Melbourne, an MBA from Monash University, and advanced credentials in intellectual property management from the World Intellectual Property Organisation Academy. Additionally, ongoing legal studies are being pursued through the LPAB/LEC Diploma in Law.
