Botong Cheng

Botong Cheng currently serves as the Lead Digital Learning Designer for Postgraduate Transformations at Western Sydney University, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Botong worked at Pearson from January 2020 to June 2022, contributing to the Sydney Studio Team following the acqui-hire of Smart Sparrow. Responsibilities at Pearson included learning design on Next-Gen Interactive Labs and product design for the Bronte courseware platform, as well as upskilling teams in student-centred design. Before joining Pearson, Botong was a Senior Learning Designer at Smart Sparrow from November 2015 to December 2019, where key projects included leading the design of learning experiences for the Australian Stock Exchange and managing online learning projects for notable universities. Early in the career at Smart Sparrow, Botong also served as a Courseware Builder, creating interactive educational experiences for various significant projects.
