Eman Shatnawi is currently a Sessional Teaching Academic at Macquarie University and a Research Assistant at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) at UNSW, both positions held since December 2023. Eman has extensive experience in academia, serving as a Marking Assistant and Tutor as well as a Research Assistant at Western Sydney University since January 2020, actively engaging in qualitative and quantitative research, ethics applications, and contributing to the Translational Health Institute. As a Senior HDR Mentor in the WSU Mates Program, Eman prepares and facilitates mentorship training for HDR students. Previous roles include Intercultural Therapy Assistant at UNSW and Bilingual Mental Health Support Worker at One Door Mental Health. Eman has also volunteered as a tutor for newly arrived refugee students with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and completed a research internship at STARTTS. Eman is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Cognitive Psychology at Western Sydney University, following a Master of Research in Health Psychology and a Master's degree in Brain and Mind Sciences. A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology was obtained from Macquarie University.
