Luciano A. Sposato

Luciano A. Sposato, MD, MBA, FRCPC, is a prominent Professor of Neurology at Western University, where since September 2015, Luciano has held the Kathleen & Dr. Henry Barnett Chair in Stroke Research and serves as Director of the Heart & Brain Lab. As Chair of the Heart & Brain Task Force for the World Stroke Organization since June 2021 and Head of the Stroke Program at London Health Sciences Centre since April 2019, Luciano has made significant contributions to stroke research and patient care. Previous positions include Co-Principal Investigator for the PREVISTA program, Director of the Stroke Center at Favaloro Foundation University Hospital, and Principal Investigator for the Argentinian Stroke Registry. Luciano's educational background includes an Executive MBA from IAE Business School and medical training at the University of Buenos Aires and further observerships at Indiana University and Harvard Medical School.
