Western Wyoming Community College
Joy Adams serves as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources for Western Wyoming Community College. Ms. Adams hails from Tennessee and before relocating to join Western in 2017, she held positions in human resources management and risk management within the recreation segment of the hospitality industry, providing her the opportunity to work in all areas of human resources including business management, leadership and strategy, talent planning and acquisition, learning and development, total rewards, and employee relations and engagement. Ms. Adams earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Wyoming. She is certified through the Society for Human Resource Management as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Ms. Adams is proud to be a part of the Sweetwater County community and to serve the faculty, staff, and students at Western. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and delights in the outdoor beauty of Wyoming.

Western Wyoming Community College is a public, tax-supported, two-year, co-educational institution accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools. Western offers two-year transfer degrees for students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate, two-year occupational degrees, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management with a choice of two areas of emphasis, and a number of 1- and 2-semester occupational certificates for students who plan to directly enter the workforce or who want to learn new skills or brush up on others.
