Marina L. Olson is an experienced biologist and project manager with a diverse background in ecological consulting and wildlife monitoring. Since January 2021, Marina has served as a Biologist/Project Manager at Westervelt Ecological Services, overseeing various species and wetland mitigation banks and restoration sites. Previous roles include technology chair for the Sacramento-Shasta Chapter of The Wildlife Society, and biologist positions at companies such as Area West Environmental, Janelle Nolan & Associates, Dudek, and BIOMAAS, Inc., where Marina conducted on-call biological monitoring and participated in extensive wildlife surveys. Notable projects include monitoring for special status species like the California Tiger Salamander and the Giant Garter Snake. Marina holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an Associate's in Liberal Studies from West Valley College.
