Julius Matthys

Julius Matthys is an experienced executive with a strong background in corporate governance and leadership across various sectors. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director at Westgold Resources Limited since March 2022 and at Quintis (Australia) Pty Limited since April 2017, Julius Matthys also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Quintis. Previously, Julius Matthys was the Non Executive Chairman of Doray Minerals Limited from February 2017 to April 2019 and served as a Non Executive Director at TFS Corporation until October 2018. A long tenure at BHP Billiton from 2000 to 2016 included roles as Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Western Australia, Asset President of Worsley Alumina, and Marketing Director for Aluminium and Alumina, among others. Julius Matthys began their career in marketing at BHP Steel from 1982 to 1998. Julius Matthys holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia, completed between 1979 and 1982.
