Iftekhar Khan has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Iftekhar started their career in 2011 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Teaching Assistant and Senior Design Project Team Member at the same university.
In 2014, Iftekhar also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Design Engineering at CB&I.
Since 2015, Iftekhar has been working at Westinghouse Electric Company, where they have held various roles. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Product Engineer, responsible for managing piping contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance in nuclear power plant projects. Iftekhar also served as a Project Manufacturing Engineer in 2016, overseeing the manufacture of safety-related valves and resolving manufacturing issues.
From 2017 to 2019, Iftekhar worked as a Lead Nuclear Manufacturing Engineer and Project Manager, focusing on major projects in Europe and the Americas. In these roles, they managed procurement needs, evaluated manufacturing capabilities of suppliers, and conducted quality audits.
In 2019, Iftekhar took on a new role as a Lead Nuclear Manufacturing Engineer and Program Manager. Additionally, they briefly served as a Lead Nuclear Manufacturing Engineer for decommissioning projects in 2018.
Most recently, in 2022, Iftekhar worked as a Program Manager at Westinghouse Electric Company.
Iftekhar Khan attended the University of South Carolina from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Iftekhar also obtained certifications in AED and CPR from the American Red Cross.
