Carlos Vera

Carlos Vera, MBA, has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Carlos began their career as a Finance Intern at Cuadra y Degwitz Casa de Bolsa in 2009. Carlos then worked as a Business Analyst at LOF Energy Inc. and ASAP Canada Staffing from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Fluor Corporation as a Project Control Specialist, later transitioning to a Project Control Generalist and later a Project Control Client/Area Lead until 2018. From 2019 to 2022, Carlos worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Suncor. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Portfolio Analyst at WestJet since 2022 and will assume the role of Portfolio Lead in April 2023.

Carlos Vera, MBA received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen's University in 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics at the University of Calgary in 2014. In 2010, Carlos obtained a degree in English for Academic Purposes from Mount Royal University. Their education journey started with a High School Diploma from Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, spanning from 1996 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Carlos is currently in the process of obtaining the Microsoft Excel Expert certification from Microsoft, with an expected completion in 2023.
