Roger Leenders

Roger Leenders has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Roger started their career as a Geological Field Assistant at Taiga Consultants Ltd in 2007. In 2005, they worked as a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice at Professional Mobile Ltd. Roger then transitioned to Pizza Hut in 2009, where they served as a Shift Manager, responsible for training crews, managing schedules, and handling financial transactions. From 2010 to 2013, Roger worked as a Ramp Agent (TAC) at WestJet. In 2011, they joined General Body and Equipment Ltd as a Shop Safety Coordinator and Heavy Duty Mechanic, where they supervised the workshop, performed inspections, and conducted accident investigations. Returning to WestJet in 2013, Roger held the position of Load Controller, providing trim settings, planning baggage and cargo loading, and contributing to the development of training packages. Roger later served as an Advisor in various load control roles, responsible for logistical support, software testing, statistical analysis, and long-term planning. Currently, Roger holds the position of Lead Load Controller at WestJet.

Roger Leenders has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography/GIS/Remote Sensing from the University of Calgary, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma/Minor in Geography/Geology from Mount Royal University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.
