Tian Xia

Tian Xia is a Data Scientist at WestJet, having started in January 2022, and previously served as a Data Science Intern. Prior to this role, Tian contributed as an iLab Research Associate at the University of Calgary, where involvement in research led to co-authorship of a paper published at ACM CHI 2022, a prominent conference in Human-Computer Interaction. Tian's earlier career includes positions as a Probation Officer for the Government of Alberta, a Justice Worker for the Saskatoon Tribal Council, and a Correctional Officer for the Government of Saskatchewan. Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science with First-Class Honours at the University of Calgary, Tian also holds a B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Saskatchewan.
