Ben Drone

Ben Drone, PE, has extensive experience in the chemical engineering industry, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Retired Contract Specialist at Westlake since February 2024, Ben has been the Director of Project Engineering at Axiall Corporation since May 2002, overseeing a significant joint venture for an Ethylene Plant with Lotte Chemical. Additionally, Ben held multiple leadership roles at Westlake Chemical, including Director of Engineering from May 2017 to October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Plant Manager, responsible for various operational aspects, and Engineering/Project Manager at Vista Chemical Company from 1990 to 1999. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, earned between 1977 and 1980.
