Daniel Leitz

Daniel Leitz currently serves as the Director of Business Strategy Performance for Essential Materials in Europe and Asia at Westlake, a position held since December 2024. Prior to this role, Daniel Leitz was the Managing Director and Plant Manager at Westlake Epoxy from December 2016 to November 2024, and also worked as a Production Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as Manager of Biodiesel at Bunge Deutschland GmbH, Team Leader of Chemical Engineering at Manz CIGS Technology GmbH, and Chemical Engineer at Würth Solar GmbH & Co. KG. Daniel Leitz began a career at the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology as a Graduate Research Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Chemistry from the University of Applied Sciences, Isny, project management training from the Technical Academy Wuppertal, and a degree as a state-certified chemical-technical assistant from the Chemical Institut Dr. Flad.
