Matt Haefer

Matt Haefer is an experienced production supervisor at Westlake Chemical since May 2019 and has held the position of REACH Engineer at International Paper since May 2015. Previously, Matt worked at Mississippi State University as a Cooperative Education Ambassador, where outreach programs aimed to improve awareness of the Co-op Program, assisting students with their inquiries. Matt gained valuable experience as a Chemical Engineering Intern at BASF, where responsibilities included estimating costs and sizing for a cooling tower project. Early career experience includes a role as a Cooperative Education Student at International Paper, where routes for preventative maintenance were developed, overseeing contractor groups during mill outages. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University, earned in 2015.
