Steven Dampf has a diverse work experience in the field of archaeology and project management. Steven started their career as an Archaeologist at the King County Department of Transportation in 2001, where they gained insights into the role of archaeology in transportation projects and communication challenges with engineers. In 2003, they worked as an Archaeologist at Larson Archaeological Anthropological Services, LTD, where they faced the most challenging phase of their career and learned a significant amount in a short time. From 2004 to 2019, they joined Historical Research Associates, Inc. as a Project Archaeologist, managing their new office and focusing on the Columbia Plateau region. In 2019, they transitioned to Tierra Right of Way Services as a Project Archaeologist. Currently, they are working as a Principal Investigator/Project Manager at WestLand Engineering & Environmental Services as of December 2022.

Steven Dampf obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis on History and Science from the University of Washington between 1995 and 1997. Steven then pursued a Master of Science degree in Resource Management from Central Washington University from 1999 to 2002.
