Anita Adkins

Anita Adkins began their work experience in 2005 as an intern at Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, they worked as a Box Office Apprentice at Spoleto Festival USA and later became the Arts Center Manager at Cabarrus Arts Council from 2006 to 2010. During the same period, Anita also worked as a Pianist. In 2010, they joined Westminster Canterbury Richmond, where they held various roles, including Development Officer-Strategic Gifts and currently serves as the Director of Strategic Growth.

Anita Adkins obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Gardner-Webb University in 2006. Anita later pursued additional education, completing a Fundraising and Development Certificate program at the University of Richmond in 2011. In 2013, Anita obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Virginia Commonwealth University. Anita then undertook an Institute on Philanthropy program at the University of Richmond in 2015, focusing on Planned Giving. Furthermore, Anita obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Global MBA from IE Business School in 2018.
