Jason Tavarez

Jason Tavarez is currently the Director of Institutional Resilience at Westmont College, a position held since February 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing risk and emergency management, policy creation, and compliance programs. Prior to this role, Tavarez served as Risk Manager and Contracts Coordinator at Azusa Pacific University from May 2013 to February 2020, focusing on nursing contracts. Experience also includes work with IvyMax Inc as an Editor/Instructor, guiding high school students in their college applications. Leadership roles include chairing the Orange County/Long Beach Consortium for nursing education and various coaching positions at the University of La Verne. Jason Tavarez holds a Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin.
