Joel Banez

Joel Banez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Joel began their career in 1992 at Meguiar's, Inc., where they worked as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst/Programmer and later became an IT Manager. In 2006, Joel joined California Distribution, Inc. as the Director of I.T. & Client Services, where they were responsible for developing and implementing information systems and client service strategies. Joel then moved on to ECCU in 2008, serving as the Director of Information Services. In that role, they were a member of the technology services team and provided direction for data center, information security, critical applications, and help desk support functions. Currently, Joel is employed at Westmont College. Joel joined the college in 2010 as the Director of College Software and recently took on additional responsibilities as the Director of College Software, Project Management, and Digital Transformation.

Joel Banez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree with a minor in Mathematics from Fullerton College. Further details regarding education at De La Salle University are not provided.
