Joerg Brand

Joerg Brand is an experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering and high voltage systems. Currently serving as Leiter Spezialservice Strom at Westnetz GmbH since January 2013, Joerg Brand has extensive responsibilities in planning, construction, and operation of the high voltage network, including substations, 110kV lines, and secondary technology. In a concurrent role as Geschäftsführer at Stromnetzgesellschaft Bramsche GmbH & Co. KG since January 2017, Joerg Brand also has past experience as Leiter Systemführung, overseeing operational network management and system technology up to 110kV. Prior to joining Westnetz GmbH, Joerg Brand held the position of Leiter Spezialservice Strom/Hochspannungsnetz at RWE Westfalen Weser Ems Netzservice from February 2009 to December 2012, focusing on planning and operating the 110kV high voltage network. Joerg Brand holds a degree in Electrotechnique from Ruhr University Bochum, earned between 1985 and 1990.
