Grant Fleming

Grant Fleming serves as the Head of External Relations at Westpac New Zealand Limited since August 2012, overseeing media, social media, government relations, and sustainability teams. Previously, Grant held the role of Head of Government Relations & Sustainability at Westpac, leading engagement with political stakeholders and managing a team dedicated to sustainability initiatives. Additionally, Grant has been a Board Member of the Westpac-Massey Fin Ed Centre since November 2014, focusing on enhancing financial literacy among New Zealanders. Their background includes serving as a Press Secretary for the NZ Government, where Grant managed communications for the Minister of Finance, and as a Senior Political Reporter for the New Zealand Press Association, covering significant political events. Grant holds a Graduate Diploma of Journalism from Massey University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury.
