Guy Balshaw

Guy Balshaw is an experienced technology professional currently serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Westpac New Zealand since January 2023. Prior to this role, Guy worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Xero from January 2020 to January 2023 and as an Application Developer at New Zealand Customs Service from March 2018 to December 2019. Guy also contributed to the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) in various capacities, including a secondment role as a Java/JavaScript Developer focused on the MyMSD Ember.js web application with a Java 8 backend, and earlier as a Software Developer and Graduate. Guy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Technology from Victoria University of Wellington, completed in 2011.
