James Pretty

James Pretty is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operational leadership and technology delivery across the banking sector. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer – Technology at Westpac New Zealand since August 2021, James has previously held significant roles at National Australia Bank, including GM Program Delivery Business & Private - Acting and Project Director for major initiatives. A proven track record in project delivery is evident from roles at SAP, Nomad Project Consulting, and various positions at ANZ, where responsibilities included leading transformational programs and strategic initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. James holds a NZ Diploma of Business in Accounting and brings a wealth of expertise in managing complex projects and driving operational excellence.
