Rodney Cooper

Rodney Cooper possesses extensive experience in risk management and compliance, currently serving as Head of Risk for Westpac New Zealand since August 2012, where responsibilities include leading risk initiatives on significant transactions and overseeing strategy and sustainability efforts. Prior to this, Rodney held various roles at HSBC Global Banking and Markets from May 2005 to August 2012, culminating as Operational Risk Manager for Global Markets after progressing through key positions such as London Collateral & Valuations Head. Earlier in Rodney's career, roles at Deutsche Bank from May 2001 to May 2005 focused on collateral management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Management Studies with a dual major in Finance and Marketing & International Business from the University of Waikato, completed in 1998.
