Hayden Cooper

Hayden Cooper is an accomplished media relations professional with extensive experience in communications and government relations. Currently serving as Group Head of Media Relations at Westpac since December 2021, Cooper previously held the position of Director for both Government Relations and Media & Communications at the Australian Banking Association from October 2020 to December 2021. Prior to that role, Cooper was the Head of Corporate Communications at Atlassian from March 2019 to October 2020. A former Senior Adviser in the Office of the Prime Minister of Australia under Hon. Malcolm Turnbull, Cooper's journalism career included significant roles at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 2001 to January 2017, where responsibilities ranged from National Affairs Correspondent to State Political Reporter. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of South Australia, completed in 2001.
