Alexander Hofmann

Alexander Hofmann serves as the Chief Physician of the Clinic for Trauma Surgery and Orthopedics at Westpfalz-Klinikum GmbH since January 2017. With extensive involvement in academic and professional organizations, Alexander has held positions as a faculty member at AO Foundation and as a section editor for "Pelvic Trauma" in the European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery. Additionally, contributions are made as a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Tissue Engineering and as an advisory board member for the European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery. Prior to the current role, Alexander was a professor and senior physician at Universitätsmedizin Mainz from 2008 to 2016, specializing in orthopedic and trauma surgery. Alexander's educational background includes degrees in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery from Universitätsmedizin Mainz and Staatsexamen in Human Medicine from The Philipp University of Marburg.
