Teresa Cheek

Teresa Cheek has a diverse and extensive work experience. Teresa began working as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant in the English Department at the University of Delaware in 1977. Teresa then became an Associate at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP in 1988 and later a Partner at the same law firm from 1997 to 2010. In 1999, they also served as a Member of the Board of Editors for Delaware Lawyer. From 2002 onwards, they became the Secretary and Trustee for the Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection of the Delaware Supreme Court. In 2006, they began working as the Board Chair for Westside Family Healthcare, Inc. and continued until 2011. During this time, from 2011 to 2012, they also held the position of Executive Director at Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. In 2012, they became the Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer at Westside Family Healthcare, where they are currently employed.

Teresa Cheek completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Delaware. Teresa attended the university from 1972 to 1976. Later, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law and graduated with honors, magna cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. Teresa'sstudies at the law school spanned from 1985 to 1988.
