Graeme Bagley

Graeme Bagley is an experienced geophysicist and exploration leader, currently serving as the Head of Global Exploration and Appraisal at Westwood Global Energy Group since February 2019. In this role, Graeme monitors global exploration activities, providing insights into the technical factors influencing exploration success and failure for leading exploration companies. As Director of Exploration Excellence Ltd since January 2017, Graeme enhances the performance of subsurface teams in the energy sector by fostering communication and understanding of diverse personality types. Previous roles include Head of Exploration Technology and Capability at Maersk Oil and several key positions at BP, where responsibilities spanned exploration management, technical assurance, and geophysics. Graeme holds an MSc in Petroleum Exploration Seismology from the University of Oxford and a BSc (Hons) in Physics with Geophysics from the University of Bath.
